Creating Mandalas - coming again soon

This class will teach you about mandalas and about how to create mandalas for personal growth and reflection.

Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning sacred circle. Mandalas are ancient circular designs. They also occur in nature, in sacred art and architecture and in the spontaneous art work of all ages of people from all cultures. Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung saw mandalas as spontaneous symbols of wholeness.

Participants will create mandalas with supplied art materials. Instruction on drawing the mandala will be given at each class. Instruction, journaling and discussions on the mandala drawing will provide insight for everyone.

Facilitator:
Marilyn Clark, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and workshop leader, studied the mandala with the late Joan Kellogg, ATR. She teaches mandala classes with Susanne Fincher in Decatur, Georgia.
